Know art? Or know what you like?
While Brighton Comics Readers was on our travels, we stumbled across this cool Roy Lichtenstein-style print of the ‘fastest man alive’ - DC’s The Flash - in Balham’s Ian’s Artworks.

Unfortunately as it was only a little after dawn, the shop was closed and we were unable to find out the cost of the print - but that didn’t stop us lusting after it.
However, given the limited wall space at BCR headquarters, it’s important that we pick artwork that indulges our comic leanings while remaining ‘on trend’.
This got us looking for other artists that have given their own take on comic book characters. We found this fantastic New York artist Rogan Josh, who has created a series of prints of DC and Marvel characters with an angular aesthetic.
The Emma Frost print is a particular favourite, exuding a powerful female allure that is often lacking in comics (FYI big chests and small leotards are not empowering – character strength is).

The Venom artwork is bold and hypnotic, while the Captain America print provides us with a symbol of hope… or despair.

There’s a selection available for sale on the artist’s website for as little as $18 for an 8 x 10 mini-print (although shipping to the UK may ratchet up the cost), it’s a good opportunity to have a unique piece of comic book art in your headquarters.
